The National Pension Scheme is regulated by the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance of the Indian Government. NPS is a social security initiative by the Government of India, and the scheme is open to all employees, including those in the public, private, and unorganized sectors.
